Stalked in My Sanctuary: The Gatekeepers Are In On It

ree

The experience of being a targeted individual is one that few can truly comprehend unless they've lived through it. In my latest podcast episode, "Watched from Within," I share a disturbing recent development in my ongoing ordeal – surveillance that has now escalated to include drone monitoring directly over my home in a gated community.

The incident began innocuously enough. I was watching a Rumble video about cyber bullying when I felt the telltale signs of electronic interference – popping in my ears and a distinct shift in the atmospheric energy around my devices. These sensations have become familiar indicators that my technology is being monitored or interfered with. Upon stepping outside to escape the electronic barrage, I was immediately confronted with drones flying overhead. The timing was beyond coincidental – as soon as I opened my door, a drone appeared, followed by another. This brazen surveillance tactic left me feeling violated in what should be the safety of my own home.

When I contacted the non-emergency police line to report this invasion of privacy, I encountered the first layer of institutional obstruction. The dispatcher incorrectly informed me that flying drones over private property in a gated community was perfectly legal – a statement that directly contradicts California law. A simple internet search revealed that unauthorized drone flights over private property can be considered trespassing, and San Francisco specifically prohibits drone operations over private property without permission. This casual dismissal of legitimate concerns by frontline responders represents a troubling pattern that targeted individuals face regularly – legal illiteracy among those tasked with enforcing the law becomes yet another barrier to justice.

The surveillance extends beyond electronic monitoring. For months, I've documented instances of harassment from neighbors and community workers, filing multiple formal complaints with my property management. Despite sending three detailed emails describing cyber stalking, in-person stalking, and what amounts to housing discrimination, the property manager has been dismissive and ineffective. Their promises to address the situation have yielded no meaningful action, and in fact, the harassment from maintenance workers has intensified since my initial report. They continue to engage in subliminal harassment – walking past my unit with significant objects, performing specific activities when I'm present, and even trespassing onto my porch.

What's most disturbing is the growing evidence that those charged with maintaining community standards may actually be complicit in the targeting. After following up multiple times on my complaint, I received no response to my third email. Instead, a community handbook was announced – a generic solution that fails to address the specific and serious nature of the harassment I'm experiencing. Today, I even spotted what appeared to be the property manager's car parked outside my unit, with suspicious gaps in my surveillance camera footage during that timeframe. The pattern suggests not just negligence but potential collusion among those who should be protecting residents' rights to privacy and peaceful enjoyment of their homes.

This situation illustrates a critical problem that targeted individuals face: when institutional gatekeepers – property managers, law enforcement, community workers – become obstacles to justice rather than facilitators of it. The very people entrusted with upholding standards and regulations appear to be participating in or enabling harassment and surveillance. It creates a perfect trap where victims have nowhere to turn, as each avenue for redress is blocked by those with the power to help. As I navigate this challenging landscape, I continue to document my experiences, hoping that by sharing them, I can both validate others in similar situations and perhaps, eventually, find a path to justice in this new season of change.
